Running Electrika on a Network How does your range of manufacturers compare to others? The Electrika database has over 135,000 products from leading manufacturers, and the list of participating manufacturers is growing. Because it is the manufacturers who pay for the service you will find that they provide in-depth information i.e. full trade price list, technical data and PDF catalogues. Electrika also has a built-in Local Database feature so you can add your own items. How do I change the currency symbol from $ to £?
For Windows 7 Can I vary mark-up part by part? You can change the mark-up individually for every part. Click the Analysis tab under Quoting and you can type on the Mat Profit and Labour profit columns for each part number. Click the <Copy Markup To> button to copy a mark-up to a whole group of parts. Can I add my own parts? You can add your own parts to a quote in as Specials or using the Local Database. Specials can be added by clicking the <Add Special> button and they allow you to type in your own Cat Number, Description and Trade price. You can also insert your own parts from an Excel file by clicking the <Insert Excel> button. See the link below. Inserting your own Specials into Electrika from Excel If you will be re-using parts for other quotes it is better to add them to your Local Database. Click the links below for information. Can I copy parts between quotes? You can insert parts from one quote into another. Please see the link below. Can I create Orders from Quotes? There is a complete Ordering package built into Electrika. Please see the link below for details. Can I move everything to another PC? By default Electrika creates a folder called <Electrika> under <My Documents>. If you copy this folder to a USB drive and replace put it under <My Documents> on the new PC you should see exactly the same settings, Local Database and quotations. See the link below for further details. Can I set up wholesaler discounts? You can set up discounts for whole groups of parts or single items. Please see the link below for further details. Does Electrika include install times and can I add my own? Electrika does not provide any default installation times, but it is very easy to set them up as you go along. Please see the link below for further details. Setting up Install times on Electrika Can I copy a quote file to another PC? The default location of the quote files is the folder <My Documents\Electrika\Quotes> and the quote files all end with .quo. To copy a file to another PC you can copy it from this folder to a USB drive and from the USB drive to the same folder in the destination PC. Can I e-mail someone my quote? The best way to e-mail someone your quote is to send them the PDF version of the printout. Click the Print button to go to the print options and use one of the PDF buttons to create a PDF version of the quote as described in the link below. Print an Electrika quote to PDF The PDF document is saved to <My Documents\Electrika\PDF Docs>. When you have written your e-mail click the paper-clip icon to attach a file and browse to the PDF Docs folder and select the PDF file. Can I export parts of the quote to Excel? You can export different views of your quote by clicking the <Export> button from the Costing and the Analysis tabs. In the Analysis tab the file will be exported exactly as you see it, so you can change view by clicking the <Schedule of rates> or <Cost Summary> buttons or change Sort Order and create different exports. see the link below for details. Can I import Customer and Sites addresses and contact details? You can import your own Customer and Sites addresses and contact details from Excel. Please see the links below for details. To add Specials to Kits you must first add them to the Local Database and give them a Cat Number reference. This is because Kits only store the Cat Number and Quantity to allow the pricing to be done at the moment the Kit enters the quote.
